I love the movie Trollhunter. It was one of the first movies I saw and reviewed in 2011 and ended up being an honorable mention in my Top 10 of 2011 list. It’s just so damn awesome and unexpectedly fun. Well, the guys over at FAMP Art apparently love it too because they are releasing, what are likely, the first screen printed posters for this movie next Tuesday, October 21st, between 3 and 8pm.
The prints were designed by the talented UK-based illustrator Chris Weston, known for his Comic Book work on Judge Dredd as well as his film work on The Book of Eli. There will be two versions available on the FAMP Art website, both which measure 24″x36″, a regular English version which will cost $45 and have a run of 145 prints and a Norwegian variant that will cost $60 with a run of 70 prints. Ok, so full disclosure, I’m actually the founder of FAMP Art and am shamelessly promoting this on Movie Buzzers which I also founded. Why? Well, one, I’d be stupid not to, but, more importantly, if it weren’t for Movie Buzzers I would have never watched Trollhunter when I did and this print wouldn’t likely exist as a result. I founded this site to help promote awesome foreign films that I thought deserved exposure and now I’m simply translating that love over to the pop culture art world, which I’m also passionate about.
